Bo Xilai, Minister of Commerce of PRC, met with Ri Kwang-gun, visiting Foreign Trade Minister of DPR on 13th in Beijing. The two sides exchanged viewpoints on bilateral trade and economic relations and other issues.
Bo Xilai said that China and DPRK had a long-term friendship and experienced the historical challenges. In recent years, cross visits at high level between two nations were frequent, bilateral relations kept developing, bilateral trade grew rapidly and had a huge potential.
Ri Kwang-gun expressed that DPRK-Sino friendship was in a favorable development period with the concern of leaders of China and DPRK. Trade and economic cooperation between the two countries had a great opportunity to develop. DPRK trade department hoped to enhance communication and cooperation with MOFCOM of China and other departments to further push the bilateral trade and economic development.
Both sides exchanged opinions on developing China-DPR economy, scientific and technological joint committee system, investment and mineral cooperation and relative laws and regulations etc.
