President Bandaranaike Kumaratungga arrived Beijing on a week-long State visit

Sri Lanka’s President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga arrived Beijing on 28th, start a week-long State visit where several landmark agreements are to be signed for providing developments assistance to Sri Lanka.
President Kumaratunga was received on arrival at the Beijing International Airport by Chinese Acting Foreign Minister Sheng Guo Fang. She was presented with a bouquet of flowers by a Chinese girl. Also present were Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to China Nihal Rodrigo and other Chinese officials.
Accompanying the President were Ministers Anura Bandaranaike, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Dr, P.B.Jayasundera and Tourist Board Chairman Udaya Nanayakkara among other officals.
Several key agreements are to be signed during the President’s visit accruing far reaching benefits to Sri Lanka.
